HOEDSPRUIT – The Maruleng Local Municipality has intensified its efforts to combat illegal land occupation after demolishing several unlawfully constructed buildings along the R527/1 at Blyde Jonkmanspruit, outside Hoedspruit.
The early morning operation was conducted by municipal law enforcement officials in collaboration with the South African Police Service (SAPS), Farm Watch, and private security personnel. The coordinated enforcement action forms part of the municipality’s ongoing strategy to prevent illegal land invasions, protect municipal property, and ensure that public land is used in accordance with the law.
